A press kit or media kit is a compiled source of easily digestible information about your game and/or company that members of the press (including bloggers and podcasters) can use as assets for their articles. By gathering this information into an easily discovered place on your website (usually “press”, “press kit”, or “media kit”), you make press more likely to use the information you want them to, rather than incorrect, outdated (ex: alpha screenshots), or poor representations of your work or company.

A press kit will typically include the following:
- Description of the game
- Information about the studio and developers
- Links to the main website, social media accounts, emails, and other contacts
- Images such as screenshots, logos, and key art
- Videos such as trailers, and opening videos
