A visual novel's gameplay is the way in which a player experiences, interacts with, and progresses through the game.
Expected Gameplay
Visual Novels are typically narrative-rich and involve click-to-advance gameplay, requiring the player to read and progress through blocks of text to play the game.
Many visual novels include choices which often lead the story in different directions. Visual novels without choices are also known as kinetic novels.
