This template stores the Semantic MediaWiki data for one occurrence of a jam. It should never be invoked manually. Instead, use Visual novel jam statistics/maintenance to edit the jam series page, including one instance of Template:Jam and one or more instances of this template.
Each jam series is stored as a page in the Jam: namespace using Template:Jam. Using this template, each occurrence of that jam is stored as a subobject of the jam series page. The entire VN jam statistics system is based on querying data from pages in the Jam namespace, using this template and/or the Jam template.
This template should only appear on pages in the Jam: namespace, and only within instances of Template:Jam. All occurrence templates are placed within the occurrences parameter of Template:Jam.
List of Semantic MediaWiki Properties
Provided by the user
- Has name: Required. A human-readable name for this occurrence of the jam, which distinguishes it from other occurrences, jams, and versions. Good examples include "Spooktober 2024", "Magical Girl Game Jam No. 10", and "O2A2 Standard 2025".
- Is version: Optional. The version of the jam series that this occurrence is an instance of. Most of the time, this will be blank. Jam series such as Velox, O2A2, and Ukrainian which have multiple versions should always fill this in. (e.g. O2A2 has a "Queer" version, so all other occurrences should be labeled "Standard" even if this is not specified on the itch.io jam page.)
- Has start date: Required. The date when the jam begins.
- Has end date: Required. The date when the jam ends.

- Has top prize: Optional, defaults to 0. The total monetary value of the top/first place prize offered for this occurrence of the jam. If cash prizes are awarded in a currency other than USD, use a historical currency conversion calculator to find their value in USD as of the jam's end date.
